According to the model list supplied by Panasonic to Best Buy, there are no "dumb" Plasma models over 50".

I guess it's been discontinued?

A few of these panasonics will being discontinued soon. Panasonic announced 2013 models at CES today.

In theory, LED/LCD should be the most reliable. Sadly this is far from true. The most common part to fail on both plasma and LCD is the power supply which will usually be due to design/parts selection.

I bought this tv around June of last year and have loved it so far.

Only issue I had with it is a buzzing sound that started recently. Since it was under warranty I definitely wanted it fixed. Tech fixed it in about 10 minutes by replacing the screws with new screws that have lock washers. Problem fixed. I knew how to fix it myself but didnt want to do anything to affect the warranty.

I always get compliments about the tv. I have it in our basement and have the blinds closed. As previous poster said I would definitely not put this in a room with a lot of light.

I recently am using the 3d and love it. didnt think I would. Avengers 3d really popped.

I have this in the 50" picked it up for $675 during the EPP back in October. While I do buy 3d movies every now and then bc it is a nice feature.. The regular non 3d PQ on this tv is hard to match.. Pannys all the way. I wasn't a believer till I picked this up and have it a shot

This TV has excellent ratings too (CNET: http://reviews.cnet.com/flat-pane...53393.html). I picked one up a couple days ago from amazon at 899.99. Just submitted a PM request for $849.99 as it just shipped.

Can anybody recommend a good TV mount for this thing? I need one that tilts and swivels

Does anyone think the 60u50 at $764 will be the lowest we will see it? and should I be scared about it becoming unavailable soon?

I don't really need the "Smart" features since I have a "smart" Blu-ray player, but 3D capability and the Anti Reflective screen of the ST series are a must for my setup. Is there any plasma model in panasonic like this that I can find?

60ut50 for $850 and I'd be all over it!!!
