The disadvantages of sleeping in hah.. I missed the $455.50 Toshiba Satellite R945-P440 deal and missed this one by 3 hrs as well. It's a great deal for the stats, but let's see what CES does to laptop prices as people get a glimpse of what's next.

Sure, that has its place, but I've been looking for a 'budget gaming laptop' for quite some time now.... Never seem to see just the right one. |

For those that said swapping the hard drive to a ssd was nightmare, its not. I think the previous gen 14r did require dismantling the whole thing, but not this one. The hard drive is on the bottom side next to the memory.
Installing windows 8 on it is whole another story. After 4 hours of messing with it, I was able to finally install windows 8. Installing from recovery disc or the windows 8 pro upgrade tool will not work. You need to install through RTM and it will automatically activate. The key in embedded in the bios. |
