here is the process

You need to do the CreditCards Card Match here: https://www.creditcards.com/cardmatch/

I put in all my information without my SSN. I had to do it in an incognito browser tab. Amex Platinum 100k Link showed up for me... Clicked "Apply Here" and it worked! I was approved for 100k MR after $3,000 Spending in 3 Mo's. I received a confirmation e-mail shortly thereafter with my approval information.

Also placed a phone call to American Express to confirm the sign up offer.

I checked last week before my closing date of Feb 15th and no points....checked today 4 days after and points showed up. The email today from Amex alerting me about the auto-pay reminded me to go and check.

$450 annual fee - $200 United GC = $250 OOP. Points are worth $1250 at R2C so easily up $1000 and won't have to pay foreign transaction fees on my summer trip!

Did your cycle close and statement get issued since you made 3K in purchases? According to what others say, points post afterwards.

any idea why my 100,000 points would still be listed as pending even though my cycle is closed and my payment processed?

my first balance was $3,360...do you think it's b/c that included the $450 annual fee, which if removed put me under $3k?

Nope that does'nt matter! Even mine was in pending before I SMed amex, they were able to expedite the points once I paid the balance from the first statement. Since you have already paid it, you can wait till the next statement or you can SM amex and they will expedite the point. Hopefully, should not be a problem!

No idea how the timing of their points work. On my statement, it says I earned 0 points despite spending >$3,000. I expected the statement to show the 100k bonus + the 3k points for spending. Who knows...

You can send them a private message (login to site and see contact options right top) asking whether you met the spending requirement for 100k. They will say yes/no asnd ask you to wait for few weeks.
Just reply them and ask if they can post it quickly. Then they will deposit the points to your account within hours.

This is what I did. I have sold the points to rewards2cash already.

Travel have far more value, obviously. So it's up to you. At the least, most would say you should use or transfer them to your preferred program prior to the 1yr anniversary when the $450 fee kicks in.
