Don't know about Verizon, but this is what MULTIPLE Sprint reps have told me when i asked about ESN going bad in the future. They said if they say it is clear then it is clear for that moment. If you activate it while it is clear then there is no way it can become "bad" later because of the previous owner's account (unless you don't pay, but not related to previous owner). In other words, if they say it is clear, activate it on the spot. This is with Sprint. I believe with Sprint, they won't say an ESN is clear or "activatable" if it is currently in use and under contract by someone else. I am not sure of this last statement but pretty sure of the above paragraph. |

http://slickdeals.net/forums/show...stcount= When you say someone is to be "held responsible" for a purchase, that's generally what it entails, especially in America. I hope your expectations are realistic. |

I doubt the ESN remains tied to the last account after you activate it. How would they have an ESN listed on multiple accounts at once? Seems things would get pretty messed up that way.
Also, why would the ESN be made "bad" from being reported stolen after you activate it? They wouldn't activate a phone that's already activated on their network, so it must have been deactivated in good standing or it would already be bad and not able to be activated again. So, why would they make the ESN bad if the phone's already activated? |

Wait wait, so you guys are saying if you bought a 2nd hand phone off CL, meet at the Provider's store (Verizon/Sprint), have the provider test for clean ESN and TRANSFER the phone to the buyer's account that you could end up with a BAD ESN if the seller had outstanding bills in the future?
Wouldn't the Verizon/Sprint store just transfer the ESN to the new owner right then and there or is it tied to the old owner forever? |

This phone is awesome. It is the fastest galaxy sii on the market (uses the exynos cpu, other variants use snap dragon or something.) I used to run a sprint epic touch gsii on virgin mobile. But i sold it and switched to straight talk with a galaxy nexus. Love the better service but miss my old phone and $25 plan.
And for those you say you can't use any phone on virgin mobile, you a wrong. Almost any cdma phone can be ran on virgin mobile. Just have to know how to do it hehe. |
