We need to spent $55 out of pocket and then get the coupon booklet which include set of products. I am vegetarian so all chicken and fish product is of no use to me and i do not spent my money on bottled water so i will pass this deal. Few year back, when SAMS club was providing $20 gift card to join them, i took it and got one year membership for $20. I will wait such cash back deal. Thanks OP for posting it. |

Let me say first my wife and I love costco. While some items may be more expensive many of the prices are unbeatable. Some of the better items to buy from costco where I live are meat, batteries, baked goods ( there bakery is excellent). Shopping at costco is not like other stores, They let you return just about anything. I live in ny and have a family costco has saved me thousands in baby stuff like diapers and formula. When you buy a product at costco it may not be the cheapest but you will get a very excellent product for the money. As for the single guy your best bets at costco include bear, liquor, frozen foods, and if your out and want a very cheap but tasty lunch try the food they make themselves. Here is the bottom line for me I can pay a dollar or two less for a steak if it's on sale at the supermarket but the costco meat is always better and the price is better than superrmaket when not on a really good sale. Costco also offers a ton of services most people never find out about thru their website. I get my credit protection from costco. I booked my honeymoon threw costco to punta canna and it was cheaper than any travel website. You can buy cars threw costco get home loans and more. For 55/110 depending on membership (I have the executive for 110) it's the best money you can spend in my opinion. Many people don't know this but costco will refund the difference on the executive membership if your reward is less than the 55 it cost, so really the executive membership is free always after buying the regular membership. On a side note costco is an example of what companies in this country should be, it pays it's employees a decent living wage and benefits unlike wallymart.

Just like everything else, they are trying to get consumers "subscribed" and needing them, so they can gradually increase "customer surcharge fees" on all their subscribtions, and/ or add "cancellation fees" to the terms and conditions that update twice a month.

Welcome to Costco. I love you.
![]() Went to Costco a few days ago, Huggies diapers are on sale as well as Huggies wipes, not a bad price when compared to Amazon... Still using Pampers, but will eventually get to the larger sizes that I bought in Huggies... 3/15/10

One thing that you save alot on is allergy medicines. I know people who take zyrtec or allergra quite alot. The costco brand zyrtec is 16$ for 365 tablets... compared to in pharmacy prices and the allegra is 30$ for 180 tablets.... the savings on that alone will pay for membership and then some. |
