Costco Membership - Over $50 in Savings - New Members Only

Do we have to present that coupon at the time of membership registration? I recently signed up for membership, but missed this deal. Would they give me these offers if I go up to the membership desk and ask for new member benefits/coupons?

Have you used the Costco Cash Cards before at the store? Can you use that card to get cash back like you would with a Debit card purchase at the register?

Also, question about the Costco Amex, do you get the option of getting cash back at the register like you would when using the debit card?

Yes you need to present the coupon at the time of member registration. Fill out the form. They don't keep the coupons in store they mail it to you. Most people working the desk don't know about the coupons till the read the flyer, I will probably say that's its an old program before they read the flyer.

It does work when you sign up. Don't think there is anyway after you signed up though because they key the promo code into the application.

Meh.. Costco isn't the deal it used to be... I was a member back in the Price Club Days (Price Club WAS the Slickest of Deals). Costco lives off the fact people don't shop. Many times you'll find better deals if you look around. Also Costco sells stuff "made to Costco standards". Basically Stripped Down...

It's REALLY annoying how they push the Executive Membership, and tell you that you'll get the money back if you don't save it... (except there are exceptions... which they'll use when you try to ask about it... I calculated that I only saved $20 with it once, and they basically fired back that I "saved" money using their gas... Which as someone else stated isn't any cheaper than Arco/Safeway, etc...

Anyhow, I didn't renew last year... I do have Sams... it's cheaper, the pricing is basically the same or better. Sams is more of a stock-up store... Costco sells a lot of the designer (of course made to Costco specs) one-time buy store.

Basically... If I see something at Costco, I'll just have a friend get me in... in 18 months without... I havent found anything I couldn't find at Sams or Amazon, or elsewhere for less.

they wont let you walk into a costco and buy a case of stella artois for $24 just like that.. you have to have membership.. you get door checked once. and carded at the register so 2 checks.. the walk out doesnt require your membership card.

The door check is pretty easy to get passed, just blend into the groups going in, atleast here in SoCal its pretty easy, once you're in a manager can help you if employee's won't comply

Their money back executive membership Woth AMEX is another huge stupidity for customers. Yes you get 2% back which Costco takes away from you in their so called Annual Membership fee. They don't take other credit cards. So my loss alone in not being able to use other credit cards is $200 a year. I just got a about $350 in cash and $400 in Macy's gift cards last year from chase freedom card that has no membership. I can't use that at Costco.
