Wanted to say I'm running photoshop CS2 on W8 64 bit. Installed it by selecting w7 mode and run as admin. Also first time I ran the actual exe I also selected w7 mode and run as admin.

Also I had to manually go to the folder where the photoshop.exe file was as it never did add the photoshop icon to desktop or have it listed in the all programs listing....also keys still work as mine activated.

Adobe has inserted free downloads of CS2 on there website. They have Windows and Mac versions including serial numbers.

Adobe has disabled the activation server for CS2 products, including Acrobat 7, because of a technical issue. These products were released more than seven years ago, do not run on many modern operating systems, and are no longer supported.

Adobe strongly advises against running unsupported and outdated software. The serial numbers below should only be used by customers who legitimately purchased CS2 or Acrobat 7 and need to maintain their current use of these products.

doesn't work with on windows 7 or 8. actually you can but you have to run compatibility mode and enter several things into command line which is beyond the computer knowledge of many... works on xp but technically isn't legal, also this is not at all new...

Funny, I am using Photoshop 5.5 (legal) on Windows 7 and XP. For what I do, it is good enough but this might be worth a trial.

It's not "Free" because you're supposed to have a purchased version, and it's not a new development. This is a very late repost.

Not sure why, but I'm getting the registration notice every time I start Photoshop or Illustrator and even if I waste my time filling it all out, next time it pops up again. Any way to stop it?
Right click on Photoshop and "Run as Administrator". Fill out the Registration form and send it in. This should be the last time you'll have to do this.
