Definitely in, particularly because, as a Time Warner Cable sub, they just announced their app will be coming this Spring. Great for adding a number of cable channels to another room without installing a second line!

Don't buy it! I got one from their last sale, and the device is really scratched up and does not work! No email response from the company yet, but I am trying to return/exchange.

Very much on the fence here. I would like to use this for a second TV in a home sports bar setup. Can anyone speak to the free sports options on this device? I looked on the Roku site, but it was vague at best, especially when trying to find out if things were free or not.

I have a wii laying around, but dont use it or know anythign about it.

would it be worth buying this even if i have a wii? i am looking for streamer and maybe video playing

It's hard to say, but I agree there seem to be a lot of refurbs. I suspect that most people are disappointed with the product received. Not because it's a bad product, but because the hyperbole is SO over the top. For starters, it's used for watching videos from the internet for watching television. You can watch Fox and Friends on the Roku, but it's yesterday's clips not todays live show. They boast of 600 channels, but a lot have a very narrow audience (religious, foreign) and many have one time or monthly fees -- or both. It's also a networked device that relies on a solid network connection and a decent home network. If either of these is not up to the task, the experience is not a good one.

That said, I own five -- including a 1saleaday refurb. Of the five, only one had a problem (meritline refurb) and Roku replaced the faulty remote. I have no reservations buying a 1sad refurb. The Roku 2 XS is their best device. It includes a sub port (though usb playback is not as good as with other devices). I have Playon and Plex servers. If you are a cord cutter looking for content, the Playon bundle includes what you might have expected to get from the Roku.

In for 1. Gave my older one to my mother.

In for one as well since certain channels don't work on the older model like spotify and finally can get netflix 5.1 audio with this one as well which is a plus to me.
