Ok they thought they heard me say the GT model....ordered the VT model with free shipping after e-mailing them the flyer. Backordered but that's fine by me.

Delivery by freight for big box TVs. Unless they are offering in-home service, all they need to do is just delivery it to your doorstep, unless you want to pay extra to bring it in and un-box it. And DEFINITELY NOT with helping you install and verify the TV unless you offer a nice tip. If you order from Amazon, they will bring it in, you can un-box and verify it works, but after that, you are on your own for install, etc.

Its not white glove delivery. They bring it to your front door or just inside your front door (if you ask nicely).

agreed....however you need to factor in that the VT50 started from a lower original price than the VT30
So..you are better off looking at the percentage of change than the actual $$ of change in price to try to guesstimate how low it will go

As far as overkill...at these prices I think the VT is worth the extra over the ST
A slight difference in picture quality for sure

However the the better form, feature set and functionality..by itself...would be worth $200..based on the prevailing pricing of a 55" currently

Coming from someone who thought that last years Pannys were somewhat fugly..especially the ST30...they have made HUGE strides this year

My question as well.. is everyone going to their local Best Buy, or are they calling the 1-800 number? From what I remember, I would need Adorama local to me or else they won't do it.

Between a 60" ST50 or a 55" VT50 is it worth going for a the VT50? I'm still holding out for a price drop on the ST50.
