Paul's TV has the entire Mitsubishi Diamond Series at the cheapest they've ever been to my knowledge. These are the 842 series, the highest end non-laser DLP series Rear Projection Televisions that Mitsubishi manufactures - this year's models. These are cheaper than Black Friday / Cyber Monday! Excellent bundles are available as well!

All TVs come with FREE White Glove Delivery - They will bring in your product, unpackage and set your TV where you want it, plug it in, power it on and allow for you to examine everything to ensure everything is functional and unharmed.

The Innovex stands are glass panel shelves with metal frame - they fit the TVs seamlessly and look very nice with them (I have the WD-73842 with the Innovex Black 65). They are simple to assemble and offer a simple, yet classy / progressive look with a good amount of storage).

BEFORE ANYONE DISSES THIS DEAL:

Yes, these are DLP Rear Projection Televisions. They are, however, the highest end non-laser DLP offered by Mitsubishi, being fully ISFccc compliant (complete set of calibration settings), having better black levels (not listed, but I dare you to compare to the 742 series or below), built in FULL HD 3D glasses emitter (and DLP Link), 16 speaker surround sound bar, etc... As stated above, I currently have the WD-73842, and I have several friends with decent sized LED LCD Televisions envious of the picture quality AND size of this television (I currently use pretty much fresh out of the box settings, just tweaked tint so far). Viewing angle is non-issue for us - we can comfortably see the image from as much as 70 degrees off axis in each direction (maybe more, but we don't really have reason to test that).

Yes - Mitsubishi is leaving the consumer television market, however replacement parts will still be available through them and through authorized resellers (aftermarket replacement parts are available as well).

Yes - you have to replace the lamp every few years... It's $99 new for a OEM product that brings the picture back to "like new" when replaced. I've seen aftermarket lamps for $49... I'd prefer OEM personally, however the options do exist.

Anyhow, on to the info!!

All of these come with $250 in gift cards broken down as follows:

$50 - Royal Crown Watches
$25 - The Sunglass Store
$25 - Zunki
$25 - Pro Football Fan Gear
$25 - Pots & Pans Plus
$25 - Rock Canyon Leather
$25 - iGadget Mall
$50 - Studio 21 Jewelers

I, personally, found most of these to be pretty 'meh', however YMMV.

Maybe there is something wrong with my 840 because when I try to use AMD HD3D which is fullHD 3D get a nice picture, but No sound. Samething happens with nvidia HDTV for DLP. I think what is happening is it stops accepting analog stereo and only accepts AC3 digital dolby. So really 3D only works well with blurays. I always have to use frame packing.
Maybe something changed with the 842 but the only differences I know about are BT glasses support and desktop over network.
I'm having the same stinking problem with my WD-82738 when using a DVI to HDMI adapter. The issue is the Nvidia drivers disabling all other audio if you try to connect it to the TV. If you uninstall the Nvidia drivers, BAM... sound works perfectly. The crazy thing is that it worked normally for a year no problem. Then suddenly it stopped.

Sorry to seem like a troll, but DLP is so old technology. Had an order Mitsu DLP, and the clarity after a few years was utter crap. Had to get my board refurbed, since it was a common problem. Consumer reports have Mitsu at the very bottom for repairs and no TV's breaking in at any recommendation. Go with LCD/LED all the way and stay far away from Mitsu.

I have a the model before this in its 60" incarnation, picked it up during the super deal days with bing and cash back for around $700 I think, and I love it... am I wrong to think that I have seen these in the $1000-1200 range?

I think I cleared them out of their 73642s. I've had three delivered and none worked. Two were obviously dropped/broken by the "white glove" delivery guys that did not have a lift to get them down from their truck and one would not turn on. Their customer service has been great and they are actually sending me the next higher model at no additional cost, but it has been 48 days and counting without a working tv delivered.

I've said this on another posts, if you live far away from Pauls, I don't know if I'd recommend ordering. I am hopeful the next delivery (set for end of next week) goes better than the first three. Problem is, the price was so good (and now they upgraded me) I cannot come near the price locally.

Excellent set. Shame Mitsubishi is killing their RPTV business after this year.

I know I could probably figure it out on my own, but there seem to be quite a few here that have these sets. Do the 742 and 842 models use the same 3d glasses? It does not appear the 742s use bluetooth, but I could be wrong.

You aren't seeming like a troll. You are a troll. Your "older" Mitsu set is not like the newer sets. Misinformation from people who have no idea what they are talking about is part of the reason why Mitsu is stopping their production. People believe anything they read and won't buy one because it's "old technology" or their "old RPTV was massive and couldn't see anything". Sheep

And this actually puts me in the market for another TV. I have a 60 inch DLP from 2010, and a 50 inch LG Plasma, I really wanted to upgrade to a 73 inch DLP in a year and give the 60" to my father, but this is pushing me sooner rather than later.

Haha I woulda gone for the 82", but the additional 8" of width posed a potential issue with the door leading out to our gazebo (see the shots I posted earlier)... The 73" fits nicely in the area, but I do kinda ponder at times how the 82" would look in its place.

Alas, it just gives me more of an excuse to go bigger, badder and bolder when I finally get around to my basement theater... ;-)

move the sub and you'd have room for the 82" look around.

i don't need the tv but i like the looks of that stand. any idea on what the distance of the bottom shelf to the middle shelf is? wondering if my center channel speaker would fit.

I have been eyeing the Mitsubishi DLPs for quite a while. I just pulled the trigger on the WD-82742 from Paul's the other day. The price difference between the 742 and the 842 is only about $300. The additional features are probably worth it on the 842, but I didn't want to push my luck with the wife. It's supposed to be delivered next week, so hopefully everything goes without an issue.

No, the 842 series uses FullHD 3D Glasses and the 742 uses IR.

Watching my 73640 as I type this. Had it a little over a year with no issues (knock on wood). I've had friends come over and watch football on it and they just talk about what a great picture it is.

Yeah, I had one TV delivered with a shattered screen and the stand was chipped. Paul's was very responsive, however, and sent replacements quickly. I milked a heavily discounted warranty out of it, along with a few other goodies.

Haha I have a couple inches between the wall and the sub, but otherwise I like where it is. I'm good with the 73", but I can dream bigger drool

I measured the stand for ya... Clearance is right at 7.25" height for both middle and bottom shelves. My center channel JUST fit (literally looks like it was made for it).
