Thanks OP. Repped. THe only thing that concerns me about these travel presses is I wonder if the coffee will turn bitter if it sits in your cup for too long. Is there a 'valve' of some sort that prevents the contact with the beans after a certain period of time?

fact is the longer the tea or coffee is in the water the more bitter it will get. Great idea if you need a cheap single press, but I wouldn't drink out of it if you care at all what your beverage tastes like.
Everything is complicated when you first look at it. Complicated things always break down into simplier parts. Simple things are easy to fix when you understand how stuff works. The trick is remembering how everything works.

For those who haven't used one before, the bitterness tends to stay at the bottom below the mesh. Whiners who complain about this simple, effective brewing technique or who don't take the time to do it right don't deserve a good brew. |

I got one from last bundle deal with the French Press and this other similar travel press. The French Press works super great but this Travel Press is a joke in comparison. Don't get it. Coffee grind will be coming out when push down. Unless that changed the silicone to like the French Press filter then I would get it.
