Just got back from touring some stores. Saw the display at one CVS and confirmed prices at 2 others. Here's a list from what I can remember.

7" Tablet Price update $9.99, thanks zirjacks http://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=56741804&postcount=99
7" LCD DVD Player $19 down from $79.99
13" HDTV $19 down from $79.99
Home Theater with 2.1 speakers, subwoofer and dvd player $19 down from $79.99
Upconverting DVD player for $13.

I only got the 7" Tablets for $25 + $3 recycling fee. The signs said that the 7" LCD DVD and the 13" HDTV had $16 recycling fees but I don't understand why the 7" LCD DVD would have a bigger one than the 7" Tablet since they have the same size screen.

Here's a review of the tablet. It has HDMI. It works as a USB host. You can plug keyboards, drives, etc into it.

Will it work as a wifi to RJ45 adapter otherwise known as a "game adapter"?
Half your bandwidth for a gaming device to save $12? Just get a ddwrt router that does client/client bridged.

Hi. I have the Craig CMP741e tablet and despite putting into "Airplane Mode" I am still seeing "Cell Standby" accounting for around 75% of battery usage. Is this the same on the CMP741d? Is there a known fix for this? Thank you.

This might work to remove the cell standby, if so, apparently it increases the battery life nearly two fold....

This is my top purchase. The Android 4.0 tablet isn't getting much love. But the router/repeater is.

Just set mine up, and it has a better signal than my main router. I'm using it as a repeater, and I've got a 5 bar signal in every room of the house now (basement and second story, which is a first). Should have bought more. Had no idea how slick this little device was. Would also work great for hotels with wired internet.

The password is on the router plug. It's a bunch of numbers and letters, not "admin" (at least not yet). And when you're finished, it will take you to one last screen, where it asks for another password. It gave me an error, as my main router password is more than 8 digits. It has to be 8 digits. In the thicker instruction manual, it uses 12345678. So I plugged that in, and it works great now.

So you have 4 passwords for the setup.
Your main router passkey
The password on the plug in device.
"admin"
And the 8 digit code it asks for at the end, which is in the book "12345678".

Awesome, awesome little product. Just use the thicker manual when you set it up, and you're set.

Just picked up 3 of the routers today....got it working as a repeater, finally, but the final step says to connect and check "connect automatically" ...I don't see that option anywhere. Any Ideas?

The last step is for when you are connecting to the newly setup CrystalView repeater on your computer.

It looks like in the picture in the manual that they took a screenshot of Windows XP wireless connectivity dialog, which has a checkbox for automatically connecting.

Windows 7 and 8 also employ this feature, however, if you are in Linux or Mac, it may not be displayed in the same fashion.

Again, that is not a setting in the router/repeater setup page in your Internet browser, but is a reference to when you have completed the repeater setup and are connecting to it via your computer.

If you aren't seeing that checkbox, try pressing the disconnect button and clicking once (as opposed to double-clicking) to see the option to automatically connect in the future.

It may opt to automatically connect for your network by default anyway.

I was sitting next to him in the car. We stopped at the stores in our area before going to the supermarket to see if I could find the shoe trees I really wanted . . . None to be found. I did get 3 of the routers and only knew of them thanks to the posts here. Cashier was super nice and he mentioned he had been thinking of buying one and had no idea it was on sale -- there were four so I left him one to buy.

From what I could tell it sounded pretty good. I will ask him tonight to give us more thoughts and share what he says . . .
Srsly, I'm really interested in this BT watch but no one has a link! Mind taking a pic? Smilie

I didn't get that option, and it's working. I wouldn't worry about it unless you're not getting 5 bars everywhere in your place.

once the router is set-up with my laptop what would I need to do to connect it to the Hotel WIFi when I am on vacation ?

Will I always need a computer to configure it ?

the Hotel I normally stay at has WiFi but it is good near the window but not the other side of the room since it needs to go thru a couple more concrete walls.....

I would like to be able to use my laptop, iPad etc away from the window area

thanks for your ideas

If you take it on vacation with you, just hook it up to the wired Internet connection in your room and it will probably just start working. If you aren't supplied with a wired connection, then you will have to try to use it as a repeater, requiring you to set it up at each new location.

If you end up needing to configure it, you can do so on your iPad, laptop, or even smartphone, if you have one. Just point your web browser to 192.168.2.1 (or whatever it says is the default on the bottom of your unit).

The point of this router/repeater is to be essentially plug-and-play, so it should be fairly easy to get it working wherever you go.

The box is in his car and he won't be home until tomorrow night. Go to that famous auction website on the "bay" and search for Crystalview Bluetooth Watch. I wish I could be more helpful . . . But at least this will get you a picture . . .

There's no physical cellular hardware and nothing to disable. Beyond a placebo effect, this will do nothing to increase battery life.
