Just got back from touring some stores. Saw the display at one CVS and confirmed prices at 2 others. Here's a list from what I can remember.

7" Tablet Price update $9.99, thanks zirjacks http://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=56741804&postcount=99
7" LCD DVD Player $19 down from $79.99
13" HDTV $19 down from $79.99
Home Theater with 2.1 speakers, subwoofer and dvd player $19 down from $79.99
Upconverting DVD player for $13.

I only got the 7" Tablets for $25 + $3 recycling fee. The signs said that the 7" LCD DVD and the 13" HDTV had $16 recycling fees but I don't understand why the 7" LCD DVD would have a bigger one than the 7" Tablet since they have the same size screen.

Here's a review of the tablet. It has HDMI. It works as a USB host. You can plug keyboards, drives, etc into it.

Were these on the shelf behind the cashier counter where they stock the cigarettes or did you have to ask someone about them and they checked stock in the back?

I stopped by 3 of my local stores and the shelves behind the cashier had none of these items. Only 1 store I saw a few TVs stocked on top shelf behind cashier area.

I did not bother to ask assumed that store must have sold out already.

In all the stores I was in..they were always on a shelf behind the cash registers.

Quote from tice42 :Sure, I used the quick setup guide that came with it. the issues I had are in parentheses.
Go to the advanced settings and then select the WAN medium type.
Set it to wireless lan and then select open scan.
I had to then try to access my original router for it to populate the list.
(My router name had an & in it and I wasn't able to set it up because of this. There are a number of symbols that will make it not work so if you can make sure the name is relatively simple.)
I then selected my existing router and put in the password.
(I also had to select the security mode and WPA/WPA2 that I was using on my original router. This did not populate correctly and it will not work if it doesn't match.)
Click apply and it worked after that.

I hope this helps. It seems the real key is just making sure that everything matches perfectly.

Thanks for helping. Are you also seeing a different SSID for this even after setting as repeater? Under Wireless setting, i'm seeing my router SSID in the primary and this Crystaview router as secondary SSID...
I tried the steps after resetting, seems to be working now. Thanks a lot.

1) Download my attached file
(extract with Winrar; if you can't extract, then rename .zip to .rar first)

2) extract files into your internal storage (not external sd card)

3) Open Terminal Emulator ( or any other terminal apps), or you can use ADB shell, and type:
Code:
$ su
# cd /mnt/sdcard
# sh install-recovery.sh
# sh reboot-recovery.sh
Boom. You are in recovery. If you have the CMP741e, you can only boot into recovery after booting into android OS, and then run the reboot-recovery.sh script.

Ok now, can you please upload a complete nandroid for me? What I did was, I tried to do a hard reset with the firmwire image from the official craig website, and guess what, it actually farked up my tablet. It no longer boots beyond the splash screen. However, I was able to flash a rom meant for another tablet with the same processor and installed CWM on it, but touch screen doesnt work.

Long story short, I now have a tablet with non-working touchscreen that I can't do shit with, but it does boot into CWM so your nandroid backup is my last chance!

Thank yuou! please help out!

I will try to send you a nandroid backup either tomorrow or monday.

Gonna check 2 CVS stores on my way home for these. Doubt there will be any left since this was posted a few weeks ago, but for prices like that how could I not check!

I went to 4 local CVS stores yesterday, 3 of them stocked with Craig TV DVD combo's. All three stores were back to full price $149.99. Also checked Vivitar Camcorder (at a store where I bought one at 75% off last week)... $69.99. Is this clearance over?

I was able to pick up 3 of these things in Northern Virginia. Other than the screen being so bad this thing works half way decent. Oh and I do seem to be having a problem bringing the amazon app store back up, anyone else have an issue with this?
Just got one of these in Lakeville MN for $25. A return but looked unused. Two issues, stock browser will not open, but Dolphin works fine. I had the same problem with the Amazon app store you did. Not sure why its happening, but going into Setting...apps and doing a clear data, the app store will work again.
Screen viewing angles not the best but pretty responsive, especially for $25.
Battery life also sucks. Cell Standby is using 75% battery for mine. Tried to do some research and change some settings, but no dice. Does anyone know if this is an Android bug, (I've read it could be a misnamed process), a quirk with this tablet or if there is some way to disable the process to check if it would improve battery life?

Looks like they've sent everything that was leftover back, and reverted anything not sent back to full price.

So after 2 week of ownership; can anyone use it comfortably ? yes - I did the tweaks - rooted, installed google store, overclocked, using Nova Launcher ( all from this threat ) but still get custom freezes and etc..could not find a custom ROM to make this device more effective..although most of us Paid $25; it is a decent processor, memory, camera, mic, speaker - so great for a toy as long as it could do the web browsing.. Tried Opera Mini - any advise ? highly appreciated?

Have you tried using Dolphin or Skyfire? I believe there is a browser called dolphin mini available as well. What is your clock speed? It may be a bit high if stock browser isn't working.

Hope this helps,

Never let that message deter you from downloading a program Smilie

I have attached skyfire as a .zip file. Let me know how it works for you.
