i had 18mbps and then i wanted to upgrade to 24 because the total bill would be somewhere around 35$ with the 1 year contract. and then they said I needed the 3800 modem which I let them go ahead and made the order. they said it would be free if i gave them back my 3600 modem to at&t so i did. i kept my 18mbps service and i only pay 26 bucks a month for 1 year.

i been with at&t since 2009 so i dont get rebates or anything.

wow, the promotion is still available. I think its YMMV but you can always try. They even stacked a $5 off on top of the $18.05 a month for 12 months lol

Not sure if ATT changed recently, but I got $200 rebate from ATT without any problem two years back. When I ordered I have taken all screen prints (pdf) showing $300 rebate, if they dont honor, I have enough material to fight it out.

I am moving to a new house and have to switch to AT&T or TWC. I am currently with Verizon and have to cancel the service as they do not offer service at my new location.

What is the best deal on AT&T and I only need internet service. Dont need a phone line and dont need TV as I will be using DTV.

Any idea?

PS. AT&T sucks at the new location. According to their site the maximum speed they offer in my area is 6. Damn that is a low speed.
