If you guys have access to a running specialty store, they usually have you run on a treadmill and record your foot to see what type of runner you are and find the right pair of shoes for you. You tend to pay full retail but you can always look at a model and try to find it online later.

Since we're talking injuries, here are some athletes off the top of my head who were at some point endorsed by Adidas:
Tracy McGrady (back) Derrick Rose (knee) Dwight Howard (back, now shoulder) Iman Shumpert (knee) Eric Gordon (knee) RGIII (knee) Demarco Murray (ankle) Not trying to imply any causation, but I can't help but notice a lot of the nasty injuries lately have been by those sponsored by Adidas |

I haven't tried Adidas, but these seem worth a try. They should replace the Nike FlyKnit trainers that wore through way too quickly last year, as a lightweight shoe with a traditional heel drop.
These don't have the cushioning and support that something like a Kayano would offer. The new Kayano 19s are interesting as they've shed some weight this year, but not for me (still too heavy). |

Thanks for the deal in for the black red white. Other colors are so ugly. And yeah too bad the all black is $115 lol
I am just getting back into shape and running a few miles a day. I used to run 9 miles m-f back in high school on cross country albeit in 3 mile increments and back then all I wore was saucony. Tried running in freerun + and always got foot pain, it was just so squishy after wearing them in with the way the stupid waffle thing on the bottom flexes too much. Even after that I figured maybe it was a fluke and tried wearing them to Disneyland. After the first day of just WALKING around the park both my feet felt like I had gone running barefoot on rocks. Picked up a couple pair of new balance after that, 1 ugly red one from slickdeals for real running, and 1 cooler looking walking/jogging pair from Macy's. Zero footpain since then. Don't buy Nike's for running, ever. ![]() |
