Microcenter iPad (3rd Gen) 64GB WiFi $499.99 B&M

I received an email today from Microcenter advertising iPad (3rd Gen) 64GB WiFi $499.99 B&M like most MicroCenter deals

It is not bad if you don't mind not having lightning port. 4th Gen 16GB is $459 so for $40 more you get 4 times the capacity and almost identical specs.

Gen 3 and 4 are almost identical. You are just getting a barely faster CPU and their new lightning connector. Most of is still same and you save lot of money.

No, the iPad 3 has the retina display and the iPad 2 doesn't. The iPad 4 has a processor that's 2x faster than the iPad 3 and a lighting charger instead of the 30 pin design. "2x faster" might seem like a lot, but it's actual speed advantage depends on how you use the iPad.

I ended up getting the 3rd gen 32GB for $449.99; might return it though and make the trip to microcenter tomorrow. Thumbs up OP. I don't get the thumbs down to be honest.
