You are very correct that the S3 and One X+ are so similar. I had the conflict of whether or not I wanted to get the HTC instead of the GS3. In the end, I had a hard time finding a retailer that sold the One X+ except for Best Buy and AT&T (The only carrier for that phone). Both places were very adamant about selling it at the non-negotiable price of $200 (plus the tax based off of the $600-645 original price) with the 2-year contract. So I'm very surprised/shocked/impressed that you got it for such a low price.

In the end, I got the Samsung GS3 for $50 (plus CA tax based off of the $700 original price at Best Buy). It was still expensive but I love the phone. Originally the one thing that turned me off about the GS3 was the feel of it. It felt so cheap compared to the solid look/feel of the One X+. Financially, I was led to the GS3. I bought a real nice case for it and have not regretted it at all. So either one, I doubt you can go wrong...but Samsung is BETTER!!
