Very nice, solid knife. One of my favorites but can be purchased for less if you look around...

My mini-Griptilian was like $80, and uses the same steel, so that makes sense that a knife this much larger would cost more. Also, instead of a plastic handle like most knives have, this has a G10 handle with stainless steel liners, which is where a lot of the increased cost comes from compared to something like the full size Griptilian. Once you go to G10 instead of injection-molded, you just can't get the knives out the door as quickly, but it's worth it if you need a handle with the grip and the strength.

Benchmade and Spyderco knives are among the best mass commercially-produced that you can buy, and are worth the money if you want or need the quality. If you want to save some money and still want a respectable product, go with Kershaw.

I love my Griptillian and my Auto-Stryker. Benchmade makes awesome knives.
