Thread Details

This offer applies only to Federal Blue Cross/Blue Shield insurance holders. It's a new benefit for the 2013 season. The pump is 100% free, no copay. The Ameda 17070p is the only electric option and you have to order it using the phone number below (through CVS Caremark via BC/BS). There is also a manual pump too, but I didn't get details on that.

See here for details from BC/BS:

Pump Details:

To order the pump, just call this number: 1-800-624-5060

hmmmm...hope the offer is still around for the next kid.

wife already has a pump, but a second one for on the go or whatever will be good to have.

oh wait, if you have BCBS through like a NJ Teachers association, does that count as "Federal" BC BS? I mean technically it's state, not federal

From what I've seen, all insurances will offer free breastpumps under the Affordable Healthcare Act

This pump is a pain. I picked this up from the hospital and it was DOA. Pharmacy told me I had to go through the company to get the replacement. The second unit worked well for a while but then the AC adapter went bad. I ended up using a linksys brick to power it. One thing I'll say is that their customer service is great.
