Just popped this baby out of the box. (they actually had a new one in the box, not a display model) Ran a test from speedtest.net and got the same results as my desktop PC. Seems fine to me.

speedtest.net works ok on mine too but try and download something or steam a video from youtube a few rooms away from the router. Also what is your Manufacture Date it is shown on the bottom of your laptop

It has an SSD and HDD both.

Best case scenario is buy it for $404 warranty it out or wait for a recall ill probably go ahead and buy thr extended warranty from Lenovo for $49 covers the unit for 2 years.

I checked the BOIS and it has a Samsung SSD. I wonder if they put the O/S on the SSD drive i can not tell and didnt really look into it as I will be returning this laptop. The reason i am returning this unit is it cannot stream a youtube video without buffering every few seconds unless i am in the same room as my router. I have pretty fast internet (comcast cable) btw. My wife's 4 year old cheap HP laptop has no problem streaming youtube sitting right next to this one. This is a shame as this laptop has everything i was looking for.

No driver update, etc will fix this. It's a hardware antenna design fault.

Move 6ft away from the wireless router and our speed dropped to 0.5mbps.
Hooked up a USB wifi adapter or ethernet cable and our speed went to 25mbps

Lenovo says return it to service center for repair.
Many owners report their machines were returned by Lenovo unfixed.
Now pressing for refunds. Lots of unhappy folks in Lenovo world.

Can anyone identify whether it has a lighted keyboard?

I picked one up. It was display so they gave me 10% off. I've been using it and i like it. Get that 10 percent if you find it!

Mine luckily has no wifi issue to speak of.
