United Explorer credit card 55K $0 fee first year YMMV

I don't think the authorized user needs to make a purchase, I think its any transaction...

bckstgr doesn't seem to work. Any tips?

Am I eligible if I had a United credit card previously?

Well, it's been over 36 hours since I supposedly earned my 600 miles from bckstgr. They're still not showing up in my account. :-(

Alright, so bgstgr didn't register my initial sign up for any points however "Liking" them on facebook did go through after a day.

I'm getting the 50k Bonus Miles plus the $50 Statement Credit.

In order to see them I had to switch to Mozilla Firefox. Clearing the Cache on Chrome didn't work and I didn't feel like clean wiping all browser history to see if it worked that way.

I was immediately approved for, what seems to me, an excessive credit limit.

QUESTION: Has anyone booked a flight using united miles?
I just checked on United.com for a flight from Paris, FR to Oregon, USA and it's quoting 50,000 miles for Sept. (apparently the world is a very large place and getting bigger with every mileage credit card)

The miles showed up in UMP about 42 hours after they appeared on bckstgr, for those who are in the same boat. Now I'm approved!

So my husband and I finally received our cards in the mail (he did not get approved immediately), and when I called to activate the cards, the CSR said that we'd only be getting the 30,000 miles bonus. I told her when we signed up, the website clearly said 50,000. She made a note and told us that they would review our case and that we'd be receiving a letter in the mail confirming or denying the 50,000. She did confirm our $50 credit and 5,000 miles authorized user bonus.

Has this happened to anyone else? I myself already have a MileagePlus Awards card, but my husband does not. He is the primary cardholder for this MileagePlus Explorer deal.

I hope that's not the case... my points from bckstgr finally posted today so I applied for the 50k points and was approved instantly for 5k.

Really hope that's not the case when I activate, otherwise I wouldn't have applied...

I called after the approval. The reconsideration line confirmed the 50K offer for me, but the customer service denied it for my wife. The customer service sent a message to marketing department for investigation. Then I called back again to confirm the singing bonus. This time mine was confirmed too.

I was approved through the web signup workflow for this. But 48 hours later I still haven't received any sort of email follow-up. Is this unusual? Wondering if I should call. 100% positive that I entered my email correctly. Guess I'll just wait and see if something shows up in the mail this week...

Same. Have not heard anything or received my card yet but was approved online.

99% of the time, you don't get an email. You should get your card in 5-10 business days.
