240GB SanDisk Extreme 2.5" SATA III Internal Solid State Drive SSD $150 + Free Shipping

I got the Intel 330 240GB drive for $139 around Thanksgiving from Newegg. Is it comparable to this one? They are both sandforce right? I am just thinking about whether there is any reason to buy this one and sell my Intel?

External backup won't work as you need to clone your OS to your new drive - or do a clean load of OS to your SSD and then load your programs and copy over your data. I posted this deal on cable/software package I used - 2 hours for copy and install of SSD was clean boot up, insanely simple with this package, was worth the $13.

You realize that people looking for a value on slickdeals for an SSD are not going to be (for the most part) power users or early adopters. They likely still have HDD and want to make the conversion to speed up everyday computing. Saying that this SSD is not worth the money is just childish.

Using this ideaology you would never buy a computer or computer parts, ever. Moore's Law would over shadow every single purchase you intended to make until you were dead, for the foreseeable future at least.

This is a 21 month old product......most people who want a good slickdeal should know better than to buy a product at the end of its life, for an average sale price.
There are certainly proper times to buy technology. For SF2281 drives, right now is'nt one of them. Have fun wasting your money and misleading people.

Yes, 330 is SF based. There's absolutely no reason to do that.

you can't win Karate.... I been praising the new Samsung 840 (non-pro) and the response is they are "unknown reliability"

The 250 GB Samsung 840 was $144 shipped a few weeks ago... until there is a better deal most of these SSD deals lately look luke-warm and don't belong on the front page. A used SSD for $140??? what a joke.

Right, because your opinion of this product is more legitimate than the majority of the slickdeals community, who thumbed this deal up and caused it to be moved to the front page. Personally, I am using an 840 pro currently and somewhat regret the purchase. Performance gains are negligible and I would have been just as well off sticking with the drive with a slight performance drop that costs 3/4 of what 840 pro. I would rather other individuals not make that same mistake. This is a deal forum, not a tech forum, not a computer enthusiasts forum, not a gaming forum.
