JBL On Tour Flip is a much better speaker than the small Jambox.. Louder, better sounding.
Battery life isnt as good, but thats about the only down side.

We did a side by side at my store and the Small Jam nearly got laughed out of the store.

I need to go listen to these now that the prices have come down. Awhile back I picked up the MONSTER ClarityHD for about $60 based on reviews. It seemed to be a decent overall value. At the time I really wanted a nice BT speaker but was in total shock at the $200 asking price for some of these. I need to listen to the JBL unit also.

I bought a small Jambox and returned it. Sounded like crap. Cought a JBL flip for $100 and was blown away by the sound and loudness.

Forget the Jambox & JBL. If you want an awesome bluetooth speaker system with great sound and loud volume, get the SuperTooth Disco. Picked up last summer for music on the deck. Blows away everything out there in the same price range. Check the Amazon reviews. Thank me later.

impressive sound from small box but not impressive enough to warrant (then) $200 price.

the teenager LOVES it. he carries it with him everywhere -- even into his buddies' cars which lack decent sound systems.

his most hands-on comment as far as i can tell is:

it's way better than jambox because of it's size and shape; i can throw it in my backpack, even put in in my (baggy) pants pocket if necessary.

logitech is rounded. jambox is relatively sharp-cornered box.

as always, beauty and value are in the eye of the beholder...

Word of advice. If you grab one of the mini Jamboxes... DO NOT UPGRADE THE FIRMWARE. There are hundreds of complaints on Jawbone's forum about the lower sound output that the new firmware causes. The latest firmware upgrade allows the Speaker to enable a 3D Live Audio Surround Sound option, new voice prompts and a silent mode which disables sounds and alerts from your phone being outputted through the speaker.
Just a warning. I really like the Jambox I bought for my girlfriend but agree that it falls flat in busy environments.

I also have a Logitech Mini BoomBox that sounds just as great and cost $50 at Bestbuy.

So I just got mine in the mail... a few tiny dents in the grill but nothing major. I also found old user data on mine (aka Bluetooth pairings). Looks like All4Cellular's "refurbishment" program simply involves putting a used device into another box.

Oh well, can't complain about this price!

Got my white BIG JAM BOX today. I must say I was highly impressed with this. Such a huge sound from such small device. Totally a keeper for this price... At retail price... I rather get Sonos but for discounted rate... Its a keeper
