Next time we see a post like this on hot deals, alert the mods to keep the thread in hot deals and not more to other area, like they did with this deal. Because then 3 or 4 people posted the same thing again in hot deals and people got caught all day with this scam, with mods just placing it in this area of forum.

Let Mods know to change title to "possible scam" and in the wiki alert people that did get in on this deal, and also block out the ebay website in first post.

Or we will have a repeat of this on Slick Deals. Slick Deals did it the wrong way with this deal, and I hope they see by just moving the original thread others keep posting it over and over ... so over 2,500 Slick Dealers got caught in the net, and more since other people went to the site and bought his other items.

By SlickDeals moving this scam to "deal talk" , others keep posting the deal in "hot deals", and more and more people fell into this deal. It's like Slick Deals removed all the warnings , that others in thread were posting. So with no warning signs/posts/wiki message in hot deals, one after another keep posting this deal, and others bought the items (not seeing any warning signs) and then when the new post was moved, another one would pop up, it happened all day. Pothole sign was removed from Slickdeals. And to me, that was stupid of Slickdeals to do.
Part of TRUST in site or store or person is that management/mods etc take action to make sure legit "slick deals" are posted and not "scams". It wasn't just me who fell into this scam but 2,500 people on Slickdeals. If this deal was not on slickdeals but just on ebay, most of us wouldn't not have fallen for this deal.

Ebay, paypal, amazon, lots of places have "buyers protection type rules" to protect people from "scams". SlickDeals handled this the wrong way, in my opinion,and they should think about how to handle it differently. That doesn't seem stupid to me, but I guess it does to you.

In risk of starting another argument...I'll make it short.

Their job is not to protect people from themselves....as it's not Hotmail's job to protect me from clicking on the Nigerian prince inheritance scammer emails.
They can try to decrease it...but can't make the bad people go away.
Basic common sense should lead most to the right path in cases like this. If not, rely on a friend, co-worker, family pet, etc..that has that skill...until your's is mastered.

Both your examples show how what I'm saying is the right way. Let me tell you why. In all my email programs, it has option to say if this post is a scam/spam, Junk mail, report it. I do report it. Then email company removes it from everybody if a number of people report it.

So, what I'm saying is SlickDeals removed the warning "sign".

Imagine if some guy removed all the warning signs around pot holes. Same thing.

And Slick Deals removed the "pot hole" warning sign, and that is all I'm saying.

My beef is, people were WARNING US in the thread! And dumb Slickdeals removed it and placed it in deals section. And new person posted deal , and others didn't see the EARLIER WARNING SIGNS, slick deal removed them. Come on guy! Common sense.

Maybe he just pulled a number outta his ass cause I couldnt find it anywhere either.

If paypal does find it and he shipped it at any time later than he marked it as shipped on ebay Im gonna fight it more since Im sure he did just mail us a rock to have a number then.
