Enough with the jokes. Let's help the rest of the people get their money back on this scam!
sorry guys for the distraction of my comments to sdman in a few of my posts. It just struck a funny bone the way he was posting. He just cracks me up. p.s. Remember our first encounter a number of pages back, when you called me illogical, and your comment back to me was illogical. It was so funny. You should be a comic. You are joking about what you are saying , right? You gotta be, right? It's a joke, right? Last edited by richman; 01-29-2013 at 02:17 PM.. |

I got the email from Ebay to issue me a refund. Ebay is very easy to deal with. Send some emails to the seller and of course the seller won't response. Then Open a case in Ebay. Ebay sent out a standard confirmation letter and asked buyer to wait for certain days. Now, maybe many people did the same thing. Ebay automatically refunded to my paypal account even the waiting day doesn't reach.

Yes, you are right. Its the same scam. I ordered one while everyone ordered after the forum started and also ordered one from a different seller for little less price..also ordered two tablets.....each around $34....after few hours Ebay cancelled the auction and sent me a email....to be on a safer side i made a claim and got the refund. Today i got one more package with the similar braclet (Didn't even opened it)..same small packet...

I got a notice left at my door to pick up a package at the PO.
Should I or shouldn't I? I do have a paypal claim in, but it has not progressed past the paypal review process yet. The link to the item that was original pulled against is no longer a valid item. |

That's a great suggestion to help out the scammer. So best case scenario, they get back the package, tell Paypal: "Look we sent the right package, but they changed their mind and had buyers remorse and refused it." So they get to charge a restocking fee and keep face. |

If it hasn't been done already, possibly one can respond using Ebays own wording when they pulled the listing in regards to "no longer obligated to pay" for said item even though many already have. I guess I was fortunate in responding quickly within minutes that I received notice that the seller responded with the tracking number. When trying to look up the number and not getting results I escalated the case citing the reasoning of fraud and that the tracking number is mostly likely invalid since it wasn't traceable at the time and I was able to get the refund. I checked the tracking number the the next day and lo and behold, the bracelet/s are on their way. If I didn't respond quickly enough I would've been in the same boat waiting... Now that the item was received at my local PO, the tracking number has become live in USPS system and has a tracking record. I think I may get the item, carefully photograph and maybe video the opening of the item. When a POS bracelet falls out (I assume) I can provide the link to the video to Paypal for their review. Probably my best shot at this point. It's really no big deal to lose $17, I just wish Paypal could of kept the scammer from getting the cash. I am sure they took it and are long gone, or onto another UserID. |

Received a pretty crappy bracelet in the mail today from the seller, it had a RN tracking number and all, received a full refund from paypal a couple days ago.
Some interesting points: + How did paypal determine this was a fraudulent item being sold? + WTH did the seller go through all the trouble to send bracelets to hundreds, if not thousands of victims When buying from ebay in the future: + look at seller history + what were previous items sold + does the seller have a private or public profile & feedback, if so why?(even if you are buying sex toys, c'mon, why the hidden profile) + if history of selling low priced ticket items & all of sudden selling items 10 times in value + buyer feedback + priced too good to be true(this is the hardest one considering the culture here on SD....aka buy first before it sells out and ask questions later) Last edited by hectorjunco; 02-01-2013 at 11:34 AM.. |
