three weeks ago Best Buy had it for $560. I'm kicking myself for not buying one at that price

which section of dell is this coupon applies to? For some reason the link OP posted opened with all broken css and js, and I tried to manually do it on dell home and got rejected saying the coupon doesn't apply in the segment. And for small business U2713HM still 799. TIA

In for 3 of these in an Eyefinity setup! I wish.
I have 2 x U2412 right now and am debating getting a larger 27" for my center monitor and just running 3 displays, or getting another U2412. Part of me wants the larger main screen, but another part wants to be able to run Eyefinity off my 6850 card which I can only do if all 3 monitors are the same resolution (this monitor is 2650x1440 16:9 and the others are 1920x1200 16:10). What to do, what to do....

My question really hinges on whether it is even viable to try and use an hdtv as a pc monitor. I've read some people post that using an hdtv isn't really a good alternative to an actual monitor meant for a pc, and that an hdtv can be herky jerky with the cursor not flowing around the screen nice and smooth. I was wondering if anyone had any insights on that issue. I upgraded another tv in my house, and now have a 32" tv orphaned, and I'm not paying comcast for a 4th stinking rental fee for another hd cable box. What I really should be looking for is an hd homerun or something like that so I can stop paying comcast for hd box rental fees. nm - I see another user commented on my issue - hdtv / monitor differences. I got my 15yo son a 27" monitor for him to use on his pc and xbox, it wasn't this dell, it was a viewsonic or something like that. He loves it. maybe I'll CL my old 32" tv and parlay the cash into something like this monitor. Last edited by Edxzxz; 01-14-2013 at 03:57 PM.. |

Not so hot anymore without the $90 free bonus from the December giftcard deal from Dell.
Got it with five year warranty for $575 (taxes+ship) out of pocket with the giftcard deal. I have mixed feelings about this monitor - for this much money it should be "perfect" but it does have a few issues. Last edited by avalon; 01-14-2013 at 09:13 PM.. |

can someone tell me how to get the max. resolution .. my dell vostro with Intel HD Graphics 4000 only goes as far as 1600 X 1080 something. tried DVI to HDMI, and HDMI to HDMI both but no luck on getting the best out of resolution. thanks for your help!

By the way this is the only 27 inch monitor that draws like 20-25 watts when on.
All the others are like 60 watts. I just don't like how the power supply is built into the monitor itself but with a long warranty I guess that is okay. It is surprisingly light. I tried a Dell 3007 for a month a few years ago and this is a completely different animal, comes in a box half the size. |
