This thing is crap! The phone you put on it won't really stay still in the same spot, it is just not strong enough to support the weight of the phone.

I bought this from meritline from the last sale. I say it works for the price. The phone will jiggle around a bit if your are on a bumpy road... not sure how that compares to other car mounts (first car mount ever)

It barely fits a galaxy s3. It feels like you have to max out the distance of the arm in order to fit the device. There is some extra space of course but fitting the phone is a bit difficult. I guess its good for any phone that is the same size or smaller than the s3.
I can't comment on the sticky suction cup as I only had to reposition it a few times. Still working perfectly. Yes, it is sticky AND a suction cup. I have a feeling its more sticky than suction just by looking at the locking mechanism.

Is this product really that good? I don't understand the positive 12 or so for a car mount? It better be really good for this price and this number of thumbs up.

I bought this when it was on sale at Newegg a month or so ago and it would not stick to any surfaces in my 2007 Corolla.

Not sure if I used this specific model but I used two others that looked very similar. They hold the phone well but they were nearly useless while driving due to vibration. In a nice luxury car, not a bumpy rice rocket.

I think this sits so close to the windshield that there's hardly any dampening. So the tiniest vibration is transfered to the hone which makes it nearly impossible to use while driving.

I have used others where there is a stem and there almost no vibration transfer to the phone so it is perfectly readable while driving.

I bought 2 of the unbranded ones for our cars, and they work perfectly. Even came with the dashboard attachment.

This has been my exact experience as well, and I'm only trying to have it hold an iPhone 4S, which isn't all that big and heavy. Also, while it's easy to get the phone into the iOttie, I find it rather difficult to remove.

disposable ebay crap bought one and made a phone holder for a mini tripod. horrible design, very tight. i had to open it, shorten and stretch the spring.

I'm not sure if its not working on my iPhone but I am not able to add it to my cart. It keeps saying nothing in cart

If this one sucks, who can recommend a good one. I'd like to use one of these for recording my driving, etc.

For those of you that are complaining about it not holding up the weight of your phone, you can tighten the grip at the ball joint by tightening the 2 screws with a screwdriver.

But yeah, the iOttie one touch (or even the easy flex2) are much better than this rebranded generic mount.
