Avengers free on T-Mobile S3 through Media Hub

I just signed up for the Samsung Media Hub app on my new S3 and discovered that I can own/download The Avengers for FREE.

It seems like it was free last summer as well, but I don't know if it has always been free or if this is a new promotion.

LOL. since i ran it, now it's running on the background forever, eating my battery. i dont know how to kill it. i did not accept their term yet. so how does it keep running on the background all the time?

A lot of apps will continue to run in the background, even when you "exit" out. That's just the way the Android OS manages threads. However, the Android OS is pretty good with memory and thread management.

I see a Game Hub and a Video Hub, which gives me a "Video Hub service is not available on your device in this country" error before I have to close it. I have a T-Mobile SIM in a WIND S3. Is that the problem?

I agree, this gives some unscrupulous developers an easy way to mess with someone's android phone. I'm a mobile developer myself, there are some very nasty ways to create a backdoor into someone's phone, even a phone that doesn't have root access.
