This is actually a really good power supply at least it has been for the year I've owned it. I had a Corsair TX-850 that couldn't handle my 4 hard drives, i7 2600k, 2 blu-ray drives and 2 EVGA 480GTX's when overclocked and I upgraded to this. I've had absolutely no problems with this thing and I've heavily overclocked my cpu to 5GHZ and the 2 480's to 820 core and never had problems.
The Corsair would restart system when I played BF3 with everything overclocked thats why I upgraded to this. This comes in a nice tackle box style case too that is actually useful for keeping small computer parts. I think I paid $109 from Amazon when I got it and that was a good discount this is a steal. My Kill-A-Watt meter shows system hit 785w when benching in 3DMark11 which is probably why the Corsair was having issues.
I just upgraded my 480's to 1 7970 so I may put my Corsair back in to save life on this power supply until I eventually upgrade to another one 7970. If your wondering why I went to a 7970 I run 3 monitors and the 2 480's couldn't max out BF3 at 5760x1080 with playable frame rates although they did bench higher than the 7970 by x500 pts in 3DMark11. I think its cause the cards only having 1.5gb of memory and not the GPU's and possibly PCI-E 3.0 is helping as well. The 7970 is great with 3 monitors I can max everything even at stock settings with FPS never getting under 30.
I just ran 3DMark11 with my Kill-A-Watt and with the cpu overclocked to 5ghz and 7970 overclocked to 1250/1600 and max wattage was only 420w if anyone wanted to know for reference.
