$399 for this monitor has made front page a time or two, so for those who are wondering, apparently it really is a $400+ monitor. Oh and it has a 460w power supply vs. 300w on the 660 deal. Last edited by markitude; 01-15-2013 at 04:51 PM.. |

i recently built my tower with i3 3225 and it was around 277. If you can build a similar system above with that much amount, i'll shit on mine.

Patriot Memory (4myrebate.com): 6 Weeks Tiger Direct (4myrebate): 3 weeks Rain-X (in house): 3 weeks BAD BAD MAIL IN REBATE COMPANIES: Xigmatek 26 weeks, 14 emails, 2 phone calls (finally received) NZXT 21 weeks, 4 phone calls. Check that was finally received was dated 2 months earlier with a 90 day expiration on it, giving me about 25 days to cash it. Shady shady shady. |

pretty silly opinion, if you ask me. in order to bottle neck that cpu with gaming you would need a $360+ gpu setup alone. there are people who do heavy cpu work without the need of anything above a low end/integrated gpu. |

At cheapest, let's add up some of the components: CPU: $300 MOBO: Cheap, so maybe $50 GPU: Cheap, maybe $50 Ram: ~$100 HDD: ~$150 Monitor: ~$450 Windows: ~100 So far we are at $1,200. The price is $1,000 Therefore it's not a bad deal if this is something along the lines of what someone is in the market for. |
