Different models. The one online is out of stock everywhere I can see. Also it isn't on the Ridgid website.
The R7001 is on the Ridgid website but I can't find it on the HD site. Does show on Amazon. Good price for a Ridgid drill. If I needed it and could find it local I would buy it. In six weeks this will be a penny...if the HD pricing theory holds true. |

One thing I noticed is that your sales tax is so low, almost negligible 3.5%! TU and will check out my local store tomorrow.

If you own a Kreg Jig, THIS is the kind of drill you want to use. The higher rpm makes the pocket holes cleaner, faster, and easier.
If you don't have a Kreg Jig, look into getting one for all your non-heirloom wood projects. This is not a good choice for driving screws, though. Cordless drills are much better at that. Just over $30 is what this drill goes for refurbished, without the lifetime service agreement. Uh, Hi. This is my signature.

Per online inventory checker (using op's sku) several stores near me have 1-2, with the exception of one store which has 12. With both model numbers being discussed having the same SKU, maybe this is an indication the store with 12 has some of the R7001 units.

i see 2 in stock at my local HD, but price is showing up at $60. do you think it's worth going to the b&m to check?

I have this drill, the one with magnetic holder on top, not the one in the link. It is pretty powerful. I think I paid like $60 for it. One thing to remember that in order to get lifetime warranty, you HAVE TO SEND IN REGISTRATION.
$32 for this drill with lifetime warranty is really a slick deal! 5 TV's in the house with Verizon FiOS and we only pay $3.99/month to connect all 5 of them. Thanks to Ceton InfiniTV4 and CableCard.

It has a funny trigger. There is a range of variable speed, and then it just goes full bore the last 1/4 of the trigger travel. Takes getting used to from Craftsman. I use it to drive screws, not the best, but will do when the cordless has died, and both batteries need charging. |

In the past when I've purchased Ridgid corded products like sawzalls, and drills, I haven't been able to find the model number either on Ridgid's or Homedepot's site. There would be a similiar model but the model I purchased would have a higher amp rating then the similiar model.
