First, Congrats! As a new father, I can only tell you to hold on for the ride of your life. Second, unless your OB is a complete asshat, s/he will have zero problem writing a script for an electric pump if you just ask or show even the most subtle signs of supply issues.

Glad someone mentioned the Freestyle, as that was what I was going to suggest others look into as well. My wife used the Pump in Style on kiddo #1 and half way through #2, and it was great, but as someone else mentioned the face plate was prone to breaking. It was also much heavier and bulkier than the little Freestyle. For the last bit of feeding kid #2 and all of kid #3, my wife used the Freestyle with zero issues. It was just as effective, but a much more manageable size and weight. She was not interested in it for the "hands-free" option but rather just to reduce the bulk of what she was dragging to work each day. (Stay at home dad here.) That little Freestyle was still going strong when we sold it on CL a year or so ago.

Nutshell: Both are solid options from a great manufacturer, but the Freestyle is much more commute friendly if that matters.
