D-Link DIR-645 Whole Home Router 1000, Wireless N Router $60

Good deal for a good router.
Most people do not realize that the D-Link DIR-645 has the same guts (CPU= Ralink RT3662F) as the Asus RT-N56U with a little less RAM memory. The Asus RT-N56U was rated one of the best routers back in 2011. It's been two years and there are a lot more new features and better routers, but the ASUS is still one of the most solid performing routers to date.

The SmartBeam technology in both these devices work very well for multi-level houses with thick/plaster walls and where there is a lot of wifi interference in a neighborhood, such as in metropolitan areas, while most other brands loose the wifi signal or can't get thru.
