Nah, this one belongs more in the "curvy" or "chubby" category, BBW might be overstating it a little. I'd mount this TV any day of the week

I was able to do a price match with Best Buy last night. It took longer and was a little more challenging than I thought it would be since all the Fry's in my area (TX) were out of stock on the TV. I did however get a raincheck from Fry's for the TV and brought it with me to BB when I tried to get the price match.

My BB had one left in stock and they called Fry's, as they should, and told me they could not price match since Fry's was OOS. BB had the TV on sale for $1,099 and the manager tried to bargain with me and say he would meet me in the middle at $999. I told him thanks but no thanks and I'd wait for Fry's to get it back in stock. As my wife and I were walking out he stopped us and told us he would do the pricematch for us.

Long story short, I think it will be a YMMV since 1) Fry's no longer has it in stock 2) the 2-day sale is no longer active 3) requires some descretion from the BB manager.

I was happy as I was able to get this TV about 2 weeks earlier than I expected since that is what Fry's quoted me for the next shipment of TV's to arrive.

Great price but with only 2 HDMI, rear lit LED not edge lit, and no apps, I'm not sure this deal is for me

I actually prefer rear lit in many ways. 2 HDMI is a pain but only a small one. Couldn't care less about apps since I usually prefer 3rd party options (blu-ray, roku, PS3 etc) but it would have made sense to include more HDMI ports especially since it isn't a smart TV.

I'm going to be using mine with a receiver anyway (I assume most people would -or should- for a TV this class) so I really only need one port but there are relatively cheap other alternatives to extend ports that have been mentioned.

Price shows $2099 for me.
