Awesome, but I still prefer my Epson 8350, which can go up to 140-150" comfortably if I had the room, but for now projects a gorgeous 84" 1080p image . Oh, and did I mention it's a lot easier to move and mount?

My point is that with 2160p around the corner, this TV is a waste of money.

a projector isn't a substitute for a tv, it's a separate entity. good luck watching dark scenes on your projector in broad daylight.

I did see this TV at Costco, it is big compare to 55" inch as the TV was advertising on the screen, Yes, I agree, it is considerable small compare to my 135" projected screen and this one costs thousands $$$$ more.

Funny, I've been using my projectors as a substitute for many years now, they work fine. You hear of these things called "curtains"? I hear they work WONDERS! Also modern projectors are bright enough to work even with moderate ambient light with good picture quality still. Where's that negative rep button hiding.... uninformed FUD-spreaders need it.

Bwahahaa, hilarious... you do know that 4k displays have barely any content available yet, let alone a mainstream disc format, availability for tv shows, etc., (and good luck running games on it!) and still runs ~15-20x the cost of this kind of set still.... right? Adorable.... "around the corner".... if a decade is that to you, maybe!

Seriously... talk about outdated tech knowledge . I had an Epson PowerLite 550 from several years back even that handled it well enough, and with window treatments it was no issue at all. Modern projectors with the kind of lumens they put out laugh in the face of daylight, of course.
