so i guess as long as you have a one time deposit of $300+ its free(bank fee) or is that a per month requirement, its not very clear but i'm assuming its gota be recurring

I believe it's a monthly recurring $300 minimum.

I dont know yet...but i think i will receive a letter everytime someone runs credit. Personally, i am fine..

How do you get the letter. Did you sign up for credit monitor?

I sent them an email yesterday, and this is what I heard back:

"You can apply for any of our checking accounts and, as long as you meet the requirements, you will receive a Kindle Fire HD. Unfortunately, we do not have any more information on the Kindle, only that it is a Kindle Fire HD.

Also, all of our checking accounts require a credit check, but even if your credit is poor it is still possible to be approved for an account with us. You can apply online by clicking the link below or over the phone with me at xxx-xxx-xxxx."

So it clearly seems they'll be running credit. That's a little over kill for a checking account, IMO. On the plus side, he said I could open any checking account, so I might as well take the student one with the least amount of fees/hoops I'd have to jump through to get the bonus.

I'd only be getting the Kindle Fire HD to resell, since I'm pretty sure dear mother won't figure out android. I'd have to get her something simpler instead, like an iPad Mini or the like. Not sure if this is worth it...

No hard credit check here. I have a few credit monitoring services, no alerts. HTH

My work doesn't offer Direct Deposit. Does anyone know how to do a direct deposit some other way? Thanks!
