Edit: Looks like the link went back to normal price...don't know about in store.
Discounted price link: http://www.lowes.com/ProductDispl...&cId=PDIO1

These were $189 and now at $151.20. In store I am seeing the $151.20 price. Porter-Cable isn't big into miter saws currently so this may be either them clearing them out or they are trying to move everyone to the Dewalt version. Over $200 just about every where else for this stand including Amazon and Outlet.

This is the same model as the Dewalt DWX726. The Dewalt has rollers while the PC has just brackets for extension supports. The manuals are very similar including same pictures and parts. Both are part of the Stanley/B&D conglomerate.

No more lugging around my miter saw...yay! nod

UPDATE: Price drop down to $113.40. Thanks to haldol.

Online Prices for Local Zip Code: 75070 TX

Man I want want so bad. But for something that I'll only use once in a while, $50 is better Smilie Thanks for the post though.

You should get a stationary stand. I have seen "hardly used" ones for $50 on CL. I use my miter constantly and this is going to save my back. Smilie Every time I see a roll around one on CL someone already got to it... Frown

sears has one with rollers that I bought online (over the weekend). Got it for just above 60 after using the $10 SYWR they gave out (YMMV) + the $5 SEARS2012 coupon. I think it was $50 on BF, which I some how missed. But for $10 more and not having to wait around for the next mark down, I'll bite.

If I had another $15 off, I'd probably get another for my table saw that came with the non-foldable rigid stand.

It doesn't have wheels like this one, but it seems light enough to carry in its folded position. Then set up and bring over the saw. It was also around $100 cheaper (extra tax and all) than this.

I thought about this one...but the reviews scared me off...

My table saw and compressor roll. This was the last bench tool I needed to be mobile. Now to see if I can get it all in my truck. Wink

Good deal for a strong stand that is much more sturdy than some other brands...got the PorterCable planer/mitersaw stand several years ago for 140 and its heavy like most wheeled stands but its simple to move the saw to the jobsite. It lacks quick releases for the saw but my saws are bolted on with wing nuts. The PorterCable stand is strong and is good for even casual diy use because the stand+saw can be parked vertically taking up less space than on the bench. Unfortunately from the picture provided and the Lowes website it appears some cost cutting has taken the rollers on the extension away because mine has the rollers.

It's been this price for about 3 months. The price should come down a lot lower since there is so many in stock. Not something i'm going to jump on. I can't see this selling out at lowes since the Kobalt miter saw stand is $149 when it's not on sale.

In my cart for the lower price. However I noticed a kobalt mobile miter saw stand for 149 with rollors, same capacity weight, but is approximately 10lbs lighter than this one. Any opinions on the kobalt model?

Deal is still available for me.

Just some notes on the different models.

The Kobalt Miter Saw Stand (ST0603W) has the same features as the Porter Cable Portable Table Saw (PCB220TS)...i.e. the locking mechanism and leveling leg nut are exact copies. The instructions for putting together the Kobalt stand and the PC Table Saw stand are almost exact copies.

I own the the PC Table Saw and the stand has worked fine for me. It is a little weird to stand up but it is stable and easy to manage. So the Kobalt would be worth it.

So why didn't I get the Kobalt stand? Well I was...but the reviews made me worry about the Kobalt stand.

And..more importantly...I know the Porter-Cable stand is also called the DWX726 by DeWalt. Exact same stand. Same instructions and same parts....except for the rollers...which I have never used rollers with any piece of wood I am cutting. At $3 more then the Kobalt...I will take a DeWalt aka Porter-Cable stand.

More then likely all these stands and tools are manufactured by the same company.

I purchased a DeWalt Miter Saw Stand with Porter-Cable colors and name on it made in Taiwan probably by Rexon or some similar company.

On reviews of the Porter-Cable stand on the Lowes site I found the, "It just won't fold back down" to be the best comment. Apparently you need some weight for it to go all the way back down. Kind of like an office chair. Easy up but have to sit in it to go down. Big Grin You must be smarter then the tool you are using.

The price dropped again, the Porter Cable stand is now $113.40 for my TX zip code. I've got a big project coming up, so I bought one for store pick up. No email about out of stock or cancelled order yet. Looks good.

Thanks for heads up.

I can still find it at $189 online at some stores....as well as $150 and $113.
