I bought this same model a little over a week ago from Fry's for the same price. So far I have been very impressed. Glare is an issue so I plan to add some curtains to my window. Black levels are fantastic! A big improvement from my 6 year old Sony LCD projection!

for people with small kids wondering about plasma, lcd or led, remember that the heavy glass screen is great in case a toy gets thrown, or a stray crayon is found...
(dont worry, it cleaned up in about 10 seconds - not sure how well that would work with a matte screen) Last edited by slide12345678; 01-16-2013 at 05:10 PM.. |

you are an uninformed idiot i have 3 for 6 years and never a sign......next you will be talking about "refilling the plasma fluid" as it leaks out slowly And if you dont understand 600 hz then you again proved your ignorance Last edited by laphroaigh; 01-16-2013 at 05:16 PM.. |

I have this model and I have also had a Plasma TV for over 5 years. The only burn-in I ever got was when leaving it on the same screen for an extended period of time. And even so, it is only temporary and goes away when you resume normal video playback. And nowadays damn near everything, including this TV, have implemented features to prevent that temporary burn-in while idle.
That aside, this is a great TV. Yes it has a glossy screen that can produce glare, but can be easily remedied by turning off any unnecessary lighting that could reflect on the screen. |

![]() for anyone else that has not been updated with the info. 600 Hz is standard on all plasmasStill not sure about the plasma burn in debate. I've always been warned not to get plasma because of the burn in. Though it seems the newer tv's don't have this issue? |

Let people like what they like...your opinion is not more valid than theirs
IBM AT in a shoebox, Intel 80286 6mhz chip with cooling via open window in the basement, 256k RAM, 64k ROM, 20 MB hard drive, 2x 5 1/4" floppies DD, 64 color onboard video with EGA mode 640 x 350, 9600 baud modem, 13 inch RGB monitor, neon lighting from overhead bare bulbs, system speaker, 2 button ball mouse, 104 key keyboard and enough self esteem to not brag about my rig, computer or otherwise |

As mentioned above, plasmas as "new" as five or more years old don't really suffer from burn in issues. Knocking a reasonably modern plasma due to fears of burn in is like saying don't buy diesel cars because they smell. That's outdated information that has not applied for years. |
