I just put in Danang as the destination. My booking is for Sept 2013 though. Just checked and saw the price for the same dates that I booked increased by 25% (from ~$400 to ~$500/night before 40% off). So maybe play around with the dates to see if you can find anything good? Good luck...
So glad I hit this the first day. Got my hotel room for a couple nights/95 a night. Now it is 195 and can't use the coupon code for anything less then 750. Thanks again OP, this was a fantastic deal when it first started.
The deal is not off yet. I just place an order with them. Since their maximum rooms allowed to order online is 3, I had to call their CS to order more. But I am surprisingly to find that when I order through the phone, the rate they gave me is cheaper than website a lot, which seems to be the original price before they raise it. I am more than happy to place the order. In such case the guy said he can just gave me 35% discount because I didn't meet that $750 requirement since the price drop. I said no problem at all. For those ones who complaint the price increased, you can try ordering by phone and see if there is any difference. I guess they just increase the price on their home page but the rate they order from the hotel is remaining the same as other travelling agents. So when you call they cannot give you that jet-up price.
Those sound like shady hotel or condo fees and nothing to do with travel agent
I didn't say they did. I said beware because some have fees associated with them that are not listed on their site. The same room booked through other sites tells the fees associated. My point was call the hotel/resort BEFORE booking to asking about any fees as the last thing you want is a $150+ surprise when you go to check in.
Do you mean from a credit card? otherwise just give them your Marriott Rewards card when you check in.
What I mean that I've read on Flyertalk that booking through a third party will not get you Marriott Rewards night credits nor MR points on your spend at the hotel. But you will probably get the benefits (upgrades, etc). So I'll live with not getting MR Points in exchange for saving so much.
What a major waste of time. I must of spent 5 or 6 hours planning in total. First, I hit the $500 minimum. Then, back to the drawing board, get ready, go to pull the trigger and $750 minimum. Again more planning, ready to pull, and...sold out. Nice!
