UPDATE as of February 6.
Home Depot is sending order cancellation emails and offering another higher end thermostat as a replacement: Honeywell Wi-Fi Programmable Touchscreen Thermostat + Free App [homedepot.com]

Some have been able to get the replacement item at the same cost of $69 + Tax and some others are reporting that they are getting it for $74 (still worth it).

If you get the Honeywell, don't forget to check to see if you qualify for a rebate: http://wifithermostat.com/rebates

Also, if you're a Nicor customer, click HERE [nicorgasrebates.com] for a $20 rebate. ~RavenII

The Nest has learning features that I don't think this has but this is WAY cheaper. The Nest is still a little overpriced.

I have this thermostat and it works great! I never have connection problems. The company is always doing firmware updates to the thermostat and software updates to their mobile apps. Not that matters, but I also talked to the owner of the company at a trade show once and he was a very nice guy! By the way, this is the company that actually makes the device http://www.radiothermostat.com/.

Great deal! I have this and it's great! I'll be leaving for vacation and I'll set the heat way down to save money. The day I fly back I'll change it back to what I keep my house normally, so it will be nice and warm when I get back. All from my cell phone.

Nest is much better as its a learning thermostat and knows when you are home and when you are not so it will save energy by letting your temp go lower when you are not home... I bought a open box nest at lowes for 80 dollars... best 80 dollars I have ever spent.. Took 15 mins to install.... tech support is also great....

I am looking for a thermostat that can read temp from multiple rooms and not just on the base unit, similar tto those small weather.com units.
Temp on my ground floor is so different then first floor all the time

I have three zones in my house each with separate thermostats... I put the nest on the first floor... You need to have at least 2 zones if the temps in your home differ so much between floors...

Per the HD site, android is also an option in addition to iphone.

They can add zones ... but its like an 8k investment. That's the only way to solve it. Otherwise it just exacerbatea the problem. It just means that one area has better flow than the other

Anyone know what this means? The last part I'm talking about. Do most modern thermostats hace this common wire present already?
