One of the reviews on Amazon : "I just purchased this TV here on AMAZON a few days ago for $859.00 with free super saver shipping" - So, does that imply, this isn't the lowest price - and hence, not a slick deal??
Or maybe he is referring to a different size? Nevermind
"This review is from: Sony KDL46EX645 46-Inch 1080p 120HZ Internet Slim LED HDTV (Black) (Electronics)"
I bought this TV a few weeks ago for $999 + tax at Fry's and had a problem with the wireless LAN adapter built in to the TV. Sony support showed me how to reset the TV but the same problem occur a few hours later. Exchanged the TV with Fry's and the same problem happened again. I ended up returned it back to Fry's and also verified the problem at the store to prove that I am not crazy. The wireless LAN selection is greyed out when this problem occurred. I think the problem occurred after I updated the firmware/software on the TV.
Thanks for the info. For me it's between Samsung and Sony, although Sony doesn't have many options in the 60 inch range. And it seems the mid-range Sammy's are hit and miss, and only come with 2 HDMI, which kills it for me. Should I be looking at other brands? Panasonic maybe?
I kept comming back to the Sony 60 incher. A lot of this stuff is personal preference.
I didn't like Samsung b/c the color looked artificial. Way too much "pop", and the Pannasonic looked very dark viewing 3-d although now that I never use 3-d I might have looked at it differently. avsforum has a lot of info and yes there are some anal people but look at the nx810 thread and you'll see most of us were happy with the TV's.
