I bought this TV a few weeks ago for $999 + tax at Fry's and had a problem with the wireless LAN adapter built in to the TV. Sony support showed me how to reset the TV but the same problem occur a few hours later. Exchanged the TV with Fry's and the same problem happened again. I ended up returned it back to Fry's and also verified the problem at the store to prove that I am not crazy. The wireless LAN selection is greyed out when this problem occurred. I think the problem occurred after I updated the firmware/software on the TV.
Sorry for you. Wireless in mine works even after updating the firmware.
Yeah, I was diehard Sony TV fan for many years. However, I will never buy another Sony TV after my last two Sony TVs turned Green due to defective Optical Blocks. Sony would not fix them, only offer a discounted TV to replace them.
"Friends don't let friends buy Sony TVs"
While I totally accept your opinion and experience, I just want to point out that I've purchased TWO Sony TVs during my lifetime, and both are still excellent. My parents have an old Sony tube TV that is still in working order after nearly 30 years of use.
Both of my Sony TVs are LEDs - one going on 7 years now, the other going on about 4 years. Moral of the story - don't trash the brand just because you've had some bad experiences. I'm not saying Sony is the best brand on earth, but I've had great "luck" with their products - and others might, as well.
