for me, Yes they are that much better. I like the lemon flavor. Even though they are high in prebiotic fiber, They don't cause gas like the Pure Protein does for me. Fairly clean and simple for a processed food/protein bar.

i've never paid more than $8.35 for these multis because they usually have the promo, *3 for $25* every so often. so buying (3) 90ct multis is cheaper when all things are equal.

been a gold card member for 4 years.

the only protein bars i would recommend is Supreme Protein, Dymatize and Eat Smart.

all three of those do not have the typical dry protein bar texture to them and they all taste like a regular candy bar - especially the ES one! it's like a chocolate covered rice krispie!

i would only buy the GNC pro performance branded ones when i'm feeling cheap and i wanted to save as much money as i can with the BOGO + gold card week and for practical reasons while not thinking too much about the taste. i mean they dont taste bad, but when you've had the three brands i mentioned, it's hard to go back.

$1.50 for 20g of protein? Sheesh...

You can get a good powder for under 50 cents per 20g. That's quite a premium to have it in a bar form.

but I do stand corrected on that and edited my mistake on that comment about it being whey based. It may be ideal for vegans as it says, but still not a bad deal for non-vegans such as myself at $4.50/lb, I'm not all into the bro-science of absorption rates and all of that, I just take the !0/lb. Casein before bedtime, I usually just eat a heaping scoop right out of the jar without even bothering to mix it.
