Well this TV has been on sale even on amazon for $1600 so dust theory needs to be shown dustbin

Unless you can point me to the thread showing otherwise, this set has never dipped below $1797 on Amazon.

Samsung implemented their new UPP model early in 2012 and dictate the advertised price on all 3D/Smart-ready sets sold by authorized Samsung retailers. The retailer will be penalized if it chooses to sell the ES models below their price as stated in the unilateral pricing policy.

So, yes, the dustbin theory still applies.
