When I tried to return the extra TTs I purchased a few days ago at Staples near NYU, I was told that no returns of items with rebates. The cashier said that return rebate item is not allowed and no exception. Then the assistant manager came over and said the same thing. Then I told him that he doesn't know what he is talking about. He replied that he is the assistant manager; therefore, he knew lot more than I do. Then he explained that if I submitted the rebates already, I would receive the rebates even if I returned the items. I almost laugh out loud and flatly told him he has no clues.

I explained to him that this is not the case. The staples rebates process takes several weeks and if I returned the items the system would automatically void my rebates. In addition, this particular rebate is only allowed one per household. He just simply walked away and asked the cashier to deal with me. Since I'm in a hurry, I asked the cashier to give the receipts back to me.

I did the returns smoothly at the new Staples on Kips bay later. The store looks pretty cool. I will definitely check out the store later. I always wonder where Staples hire these people who have no clues about Staples policy. I try to educate them but most of these people are very arrogant even if I proved they are wrong. They just pretended nothing happen.
