Now you are making me nervous. I will have like $300 reward check next month,but the plus side is it will have expiry of June/July.

I was cautious last year when it came to buying batteries. I bought what I thought I would need for the following year in October and cashed out the rewards from those in November. Did not buy any in December as I wanted any spending in 2013 to count for premier not being used to cash out rewards. I spent $0.00 OOP in December. Cashed out Dec issued rewards on tax software. The thing with Staples is you really never know what is coming down the pike. That gc deal on the MCs was great. Hard to predict what Staples or their AV vendors are going to do. Still have $480 to spend in 2013 with ink rewards plus the $1k for spend for 2014.

Rewards items like the totes/binders are useful IF you can use them. They are a wash when it comes spend and require cashing out on the back end which makes them more difficult than rebate items. At least if you are premier you have 5+ months to monetize them. If desperate one can always buy electronics with the rewards and flip em on Ebay for close to cost.

Aren't those now validated? Those that bought late had to sit through the whole holiday return period. I bought what I did the first 2 days. Wish I had bought more though.

If no other coupons pop up mid/late week next week I guess I will get 2 photo papers, 3 ream papers and use a $10 off $50 OS app q. Worst case, about ~1.06 loss after remaining rewards and tax. Balance will be paid OOP going towards Premier re-qualification for next year. Trying hard to stay away from FARew items and only do FAReb (or close/better w/ coupons) Only need to average $83.33 per month. ...but will hopefully hit it much sooner.

any nice suggestions for the purchases to be done for becoming a premier member

Those totes have been great. Instead of stacks of different sized brown boxes, now there are stacks of clear plastic totes ...... holding my Staples hoards .... which my wife can now see ..... pretty sure she will start demanding that I get rid of those darn Staples and HP photo papers ....
