i had a horrible experience with tigerdirect and refurb.... their idea of refurb is literally used item, put some windex on it, clean it up... and sell it as refurb... i bought a logitech controller from them, and it was clearly beat up, no amount of windex can make this item a "refurb" it was obviously used to the point it rested the batteries, and it didnt work, i had to call logitech and complain to them enough time that they finally just sent me a new one... i dont trust tigerdirect's refurb.. they mind as well call it used.. and yes you mind as well go to craigslist and get one yourself... least u can inspect it before buying.
Just got it in the mail yesterday. Cosmetically everything looks perfect and happy with it so far. Will need to continue testing to make sure everything is working fine. I guess the main things to look for are "screen bleed?" and "screen lift"?.
Either way, i'm glad I went this route, If I could have found one in stock anywhere locally would have went with that, but considering options were limited and I got a (so far) near perfect product for $38 cheaper than google play store, i'm quite happy.
sidenote: my first android device and at this point, though it is nice, i'm definitely missing the smoother iOS user experience in a lot of apps, etc.
