I guess it's all a matter of personal preference. I've slimmed down to a telephoto zoom and a fast prime. The fast prime stays on most of the time unless I shoot outdoors in parks etc. I wouldn't consider neither of these to be very fast, and personally I'd keep the 30mm unless the 19mm is a fisheye.

Okay, I see what you mean in terms of cost--$118 for the nifty fifty vs $200 for the Sig 30 2.8. Still kind of an unfair battle, because the 50 1.8 is just so darn good. That and the bokeh difference between 1.8 on FF vs 2.8 on 1.5x is unfair.

I've tried 3x nex bodies and 2x m4/3 and I'm very fond of a nex setup as a replacement for the powershot S-series. Carrying around a DSLR everywhere is simply not doable. Carrying around a nex with a pancake attached is very doable--and the image quality is quite comparable to lower-end DSLRs, which is more than good enough for those situations where the only viable choices are using my Canon S100 or my iPhone. Sony currently has everyone beat when it comes to in-camera software. Auto-panoramic processing, auto-HDR conversion--not to mention the new apps available for the 5R and 6--are just plain useful for everyday shooting. Canon didn't even add in-camera auto-HDR as a feature until the 1Dx/5D3 came along!

Nex cannot replace DSLRs for me, but still good enough to get facetime. Sony makes good, useful bodies. And if we're getting technical here, our 5D3 is as nothing next to a Hasselblad or Phase One camera. $50,000 vs $3,000--doesn't make the 5d3 garbage though.

Sadly, no. I got my Nex order in early while it was in stock, and still says " In stock, order sent to warehouse ". If they cancel, I'm going to be really upset.

No idea what's with all the Nex deals lately. I got out of the mirrorless game last year, but the crazy deals recently (5R/F3) have pulled me right back in!

Been planning on buying the Panny 20mm f/1.7 for a while now, but went ahead and pulled the trigger on this for the moment. Will decide what to do with them later.

I'm sorry if I have to ask this question again, i didn't really get a response. But does anyone recommend me keeping my Sony 50mm f/1.8 lens that I use for portraits if I were to buy this bundle?
