ms store has been giving away $25 gift cards/coupons for their windows phone challenge for months. there was a time where they were giving them away for their bing it on challenge and windows 8 challenge. last time i went was in nov to pick up blops 2 and the windows phone challenge was still going on. i have stacks of gc's for ms store from doing the windows phone challenge that i have been using for game pre-orders.

my dlc's for halo 4 and blops 2 both sold for 15-20 so i'm being conservative when i say about $10 on ebay.

good deal. best buy has had a similar deal (value of $20) going on for the past year or more for gamers club unlocked members; they give you a $20 best buy gift certificate to use online or in store for each qualifying pre order.

Little disappointed this went front page. Kotaku had an article up referencing this deal for at least 24-48 hours before this went up here at SD.

The Kotaku.com article goes even further out on deals with regards to the 2013 release schedule. Was a pretty good list.

Didn't really consider it would be a FP deal here just because of the 1600MS points. Admittedly, my judgement is off on stuff like that since I don't use MS points.

On your first point... This deal was posted on Jan 17th (check OP) and Kotaku reported the sale on Jan 19th. Nearly 48 hours after I posted it.

Just would like to point out that I have ordered from them 4 times. 3 were great but the last time I didn't receive the codes. Still, I do not have my codes from Halo 4... shipped back in Nov. Each time it's the same story.. they put me on hold for awhile come back and say they need to escalate it and will personally follow up with me. And never do.

It's a great deal, just buyer beware if you have to deal with their CS.

I use MS points all the time so this is a great deal. Preordered Gears, BioShock, and GTA

This is an OK deal. Xbox 360 for a game like GTA V is a horrible plan. GTA V for me is a PC game, and demands to be modded and sculpted for the full potential of my dollars.

It's pretty good knowledge that the game will come out in the coming months of spring.
