I'm in the same boat...after numerous phone calls I still haven't recieved my 1600 point code from Black Ops pre order!

people tend to forget that Gears of War usually comes with exclusive skins from at least 3 outlets.
Game Stop , Best Buy , and Amazon.

These skins are made exclusive to the stores for pre-orders and are not available after release date.
Alot of code swapping happens on Ebay but other than that.. exclusives are nice but some how no matter where i end up pre ordering my game I always feel some what cheated that I don't have the exclusives given to the other 2 stores. But I'm pretty sure MS store does not offer any exclusive skins or DLC with this pre-order.

I didn't research all the games on this list but... i'm sure there has to be some store exclusives the MS store wont be able to match. Just be mindful so you don't feel cheated.

i pre-ordered assassin's creed 3 from the m$ store and received it on release date, so i think they're pretty good about getting the game to you rather timely.

I am still waiting for $10 and 1600pt codes from my Borderlands 2 pre-order. They are impossible to deal with. If there is another deal, even if it's less enticing, I would take that just to stay clear of MS Store.

Are the games retail? I'm thinking of taking advantage of the offer, then once I get the game I go to Walmart to return it for store credit.

this is the closest i've seen, since the points can be used for MS xbox live games. usually amazon has some type of credit deal, but haven't seen anything yet.
